What is the best age to photograph a baby

Babies are pretty easy really, in as much as they don’t move around much. We have a variety of posing aids to help us with very young babies so photography with new borns is absolutely fine. At 5 or 6 months when baby can sit relatively unaided, then we tend to get a lot of variety in the sittings. By the fast crawling stage, things tend to move a little differently! But it’s fine.. Any age is OK. We allow a minimum of one hour for baby and toddler portraits with out normal sittings and photoshoot packages which is plenty of time to wake up after the car ride, time for a whinge or feed, a nappy change and some photographs in there somewhere too..
